Toyota Supra MA70

When we visualize a Supra, we invariably think of the infamous Mk4 with its huge spoiler, but the previous generation Mk3 lay the foundations for the Supra’s notoriety and should not be overlooked.

This 1989 original UK example is a very desirable 3.0i Turbo with rare 5-speed manual gearbox and has remained in largely standard spec over its 97k miles and 35 years.

The red bodywork presents remarkably well and the car is completely rust free. The original 5-spoke wheels are excellent, as all are trims and seals etc.

Inside is of an equal standard with recently re-trimmed front seats in beautiful supple leather with the only non-standard items being a double-din Pioneer headunit and a Blitz turbo-timer. The overall build quality is impressive and the driver-focussed dashboard design clearly informed the design of the later Mk4.

The 3.0 7M-GTE turbo-charged engine has that signature 6-cylinder hum and boasts impressive performance with over 230bhp on offer. Crucially, the engine has just had over €5k spent on an engine-out refresh including all seals, timing belt, plus a new head gasket.

This is an impressive example of a rare Japanese icon that has been beautifully maintained and drives incredibly well.

Viewing strictly by appointment. All cars supplied with valid NCT where appropriate.
