Porsche 993 Turbo

The 993 iteration of the 911 may owe a lot of its desirability to the fact that it’s the last aircooled model produced by Porsche, but there is so much more to be celebrated…particularly if it’s a 993 Turbo like this one.

This high-spec UK delivered RHD 1996 car is a 4-owner example with 108k miles and scores excellently in all departments having had nearly €40k spent on it in the last 2 years.

The unmistakable rounded and bulging body of this 993 Turbo presents beautifully and is finished in the rare colour of Midnight Blue Metallic. The paintwork is of a wonderful standard and benefits from having a full ceramic coating to keep it looking its best.

The Midnight Blue continues inside, too, with matching leather adorning nearly every surface. Some of the highlights include perforated part-electric deep-bolstered seats, Becker Indianapolis radio and, most importantly, that 6-speed manual gearstick. Most impressive about the cockpit of this 993, however, is the incredible build quality and comfort when you’re on the road. It’s a very pleasant place to spend time munching up the miles.

And speaking of driving, this Turbo has a little added bonus that makes it even more impressive.

Not content with the car’s original power output, one of the previous owners returned the car to Porsche in 1998 to have an engine conversion kit fitted using GT2 upgrades. The result is an increase in power to a stonking 430bhp and possibly one of the most ballistic cars we have driven…ever. No, really. What’s more is the work is all fully documented and certified by Porsche.

Fast forward to recent years, and the aforementioned €40k in work carried out, and the car is as good as ever having had a huge mechanical overhaul by DOB Sportscars. The extensive list includes new turbos, brake rebuild (including ABS unit), suspension rebuild, all pipework replaced plus absolutely anything that was deemed necessary with no expense spared.

A hugely impressive example of one of the most desirable 911s created.
