An unusual but welcome sight in any collection, this handsome 1959 Lamborghinetta tractor is a beautifully and sympathetically restored example of what is known to be Ferrucio Lamborghini’s favourite tractor.

This matching numbers Lamborghinetta is 1 of just 823 produced, and 1 of just 345 in 1959, and is presented in the period-correct colour scheme of red over grey.

It scores excellently in all areas with no fixture or fitting being left untouched. A brand new genuine aluminium steering wheel was even sourced for authenticity, and 4 brand new tyres have been fitted, too.

Powered by an air-cooled DL20 22hp two-cylinder diesel engine, this tractor starts on the button and is driven by 6 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. The hydraulic brake system is a known weak point on these tractors, but following a €3k overhaul the brakes work superbly.

A charming and well restored tractor representing an intriguing period in the history of Lamborghini that would make a genuinely unique addition to any collection, whether that is alongside other examples of 1960s farm equipment or flanked by the likes of a Miura, Countach, or Aventador.
