BMW E36 M3 Convertible

The E36 M3 had big shoes to fill after the success of the E30, but its much anticipated arrival didn’t disappoint. New to the M3 line up were a 4-door saloon and a convertible, like this one.

In excellent overall condition, this 1997 M3 is finished in Cosmos Schwarz metallic with black leather interior and presents in excellent condition.

The paintwork holds a remarkably deep shine with no rust whatsoever, and the staggered wheels have just been refurbished and fitted with brand new Firestone tyres. A welcome bonus is the factory hard top, too.

Inside, the Vader seats hold you in all the right places and the original steering wheel has had a recent retrim. The signature build quality of BMWs from this era is abundant, too.

Being a ’97 car, it is fitted with the 3.2 S50 engine and the car performs faultlessly with just 82k miles covered in its 28 years.

An extensive history file is with the car and under the care of BMW specialists, Classicworx, it has most recently had new front discs and pads, plus new clutch slave and master cylinders.

The original handbooks, wallet and 2 keys are all present, too.

Good convertible M3s are thin on the ground and this handsome example is both mechanically and picture-perfect.
