BMW 645i

The arrival of the E63 6 Series in 2003 marked a return for BMW to Grand Touring cars after production of the E31 8 Series ceased in ’99, and its once controversial styling has proven to have stood the test of time, as is evidenced by this rather special original Irish 2005 example.

Finished in Sapphire Black metallic with black leather interior, this high-spec 645i boasts some incredible upgrades from new and is in exceptional condition inside and out having been meticulously maintained with no expense spared by its two previous owners, with the most recent owner having it since 2009.

Supplied new with a full AC Schnitzer body kit and exhaust, plus genuine Alpina wheels to its first owner (Stephen Murphy of Murphy and Gunn), this 6 series looks sensational despite its surprising mileage of 163k.

Over €15k has been spent on it in the last 5 years to make it both aesthetically and mechanically perfect with a full repaint, complete underside overhaul and an engine-out refresh including the common valve stem oils seals replaced.

The build quality and finish of an E63 will still show up many modern cars, and this particular example feels as fresh as it would have 19 years ago. The car drives effortlessly and the extra 30bhp gained from the exhaust brings the total from the 4.4 petrol V8 to very respectable 360bhp.

A full service history accompanies the car.

This is a sensational example of a very complete GT car that has become a rare sight on Irish roads, and is a guaranteed future classic.
