VW T25 Transporter “Doka”

When it comes to T25 VW buses, the ultra cool and ultra practical DoppelKabine – or Doka – Transporter is hard to beat.

This awesome 1989 example has been treated to a full recent restoration and treated to some tasty upgrades, too.

The Transporter started life in the UK before spending a number of years in France as a work van, and finally making its way to Ireland where the photographic resto was carried out.

Despite being a work vehicle, the body was in excellent structural and mechanical condition and was clearly well looked after.

Although a lot of original features have been retained, such as the 1.6 diesel engine, and have been treated to a fresh coat of paint in its original colour, this Transporter boasts a set of 19” turbine wheels, a custom Harris Tweed interior and a full air-ride suspension set up with in-built compressor.

The result is a lovely mix of original and custom, and a T25 that drives just as good as it looks.

This is a beautifully finished example of a sought-after VW icon that’s just had a full detail and fresh service.
