As one of history’s greatest ever hot hatches, the Golf GTI needs no introduction.
This 1987 8v Mk2 3-door is in stunning condition and has been beautifully maintained throughout its mere 63k miles.
Having had a full recent respray to a very high standard in its original colour of black, the car presents exceptionally well with all plastic trims in excellent condition and looks perfectly stanced on its genuine factory 14” BBS RA alloys. Other notable features are opening rear quarter windows and a 7-slot grill.
The original Type 19 interior is in beautiful original condition with virtually no signs of wear and even boasts a very rare original Gamma radio as featured in the original sales brochure.
The 1.8 8v engine still performs exactly as it should and the car is beautiful to drive with the help of new suspension springs recently fitted all around. New rear callipers and fuel tank straps fitted were also fitted along with a general service and a freshly fitted timing belt, too.
Good Mk2 GTIs are renowned for their driving experience, reliability and practicality and this very attractive and well cared for example drives every bit as good as it looks.
