The Mk1.5 Golf GTI combines the more powerful 1.8 engine with 5-speed box from the Mk2 with a deeper front chin spoiler, wheel arch extensions, a red-trimmed bonnet grille, and a number of other sporting touches, including the iconic ‘golf ball’ dimpled gear knob.

The car is mechanically on the money, too, having just completed a major service including, brakes, suspension, all service items including plugs, fluids, filters etc. A timing belt kit along with a radiator and interior fan were also replaced at this stage.
