Long before the GR Yaris hit the scene, Toyota’s last great homologation special was in the form of the Toyota Celica.
Based on the fifth generation of Toyota’s infamous car the T180 chassis was a revolutionary car for the time. This super rare GTi-R is the japanese import equivelant to the UK GT 2.0 but… with the obvious Japanese extras and 4WS.
This 1993 Japanese car was imported to the Ireland in 2023 and has survived amazingly well. The underside and interior of the car is amazing for a near 33 year old car. The spec includes an upgraded sound system housed in a set of unique door cards and climate control, lumbar and bolster seats, adjustable steering to name but a few.
On the road, the overall performance package is stunning. The chassis feels perfectly balanced, the steering and gearchange are direct and the 2.0 litre twin cam 16v engine is revvy and will propel you from one corner to the next in rapid fashion.
This a genuine and unmolested example of one of the rarest and most sought-after Celica models. The GTi-R.
