Toyota Celica GT-Four WRC

Long before the GR Yaris hit the scene, Toyota’s last great homologation special was this – the Toyota Celica GT-Four WRC edition.

Based on the ST205 chassis, the WRC cars featured a higher performance twin-entry turbo 2.0 3S-GTE engine alongside a very clever differential system, higher interior spec, water-sprayed intercooler, and – possibly the coolest of all – a factory-fitted anti-lag system!

Although, the latter two were never made functional by the factory ECU, they can both be activated using an after-market ECU, if desired.

This 1994 Japanese car was imported to the UK in 2006 before being brought to Ireland in 2022 and has survived amazingly well in completely original spec and condition, save for 4 recently refurbished wheels.

The superior interior spec includes full leather, sunroof and an upgraded sound system housed in a set of unique door cards and climate control, while outside there’s the iconic extended rear spoiler plus an additional hood-mounted spoiler near the windscreen, and the much sought-after 3 spoke alloys as appeared on the 1994 cars only.

On the road, the overall performance package is stunning. The chassis feels perfectly balanced, the steering and gearchange are direct and the engine’s 252bhp will propel you from one corner to the next in rapid fashion.

This a genuine and unmolested example of the rarest and most sought-after GT-Four ever produced.
