Subaru Impreza Type R STI Version 4

A super rare Subaru Impreza Type R STI Version 4. As you know this is one of the most desirable classics from Subaru’s golden WRC era. Often regarded as the closest thing to the legendary 22B, this model features the same DCCD gearbox and iconic 2-door body. Along with this a controlled Centre Differential (DCCD), and a mechanical rear limited-slip differential.

The bodywork and paint is stunning. The Sonic Blue paintwork is without fault along with body trims and all glass. The interior is another awesome place to be. All controls and trims are excellent and as you would expect. The car feels fresh and a car that hasn’t been abused.

In the midst of the “classic” era, Subaru created the Type R. Exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, these were based on a two-door coupé body and were available in four generations. This Type R was produced over a period of just 11 months. Equipped with the legendary EJ20 engine she has 280 hp and still feels fast today. Having had a proper suspension and tracking set up for fast road use, she drives every bit as good as you could imagine.

A proper car and one that doesn’t come up too often. Having had the pleasure of selling this car years ago, it’s great to see her back into stock and looking as well as ever.
