Range Rover Classic V8

While the rough around the edges Defender may be the definitive 4×4, the much more salubrious Range Rover is certainly the definitive SUV.

Finished in the retro and beautiful colour of Shire Blue, this 1987 Range Rover Classic V8 scores excellently in all departments.

Owing to a previous restoration and careful previous owners, the bodywork and chassis are in all ‘round superb condition and the car drives beautifully having covered 93k miles in its 35 years.

The exterior has some subtle enhancements such as rear light guards, black Range Rover lettering and lightly tinted rear windows while the original 3-spoke alloys have been recently refurbished to an excellent standard.

Inside, the original and desirable ‘Teddy Bear’ seats are in pristine condition and the only alterations to the standard spec are the addition of wood trim on the dashboard, OEM Discovery II front cup holders and a more modern sound system.

The legendary Rover 3.5 V8 petrol engine performs beautifully, too, and coupled with the automatic gearbox, smooth ride and commanding driving position make for an effortless and very pleasant driving experience.

A large history file accompanies the car and, most recently, the car has been fully serviced and had 2 new rear shocks fitted along with a new brake master cylinder.

Clean and well maintained examples of these ever appreciated Range Rover Classics are hard to find and this is certainly one of the best on the Irish market.
