Mercedes W113 280 SL ‘Pagoda’

The SL has been a staple of the Mercedes for line up for 70 years and one of the most beautiful models produced is the W113, or ‘Pagoda’ as its better known.

This stunning 1968 original German Mercedes 280 SL is a stunning example and boasts a super rare factory kinder seat, as well as low mileage of just 49k miles in the hands of 5 owners.

Presented in the most elegant colour combo of Arctic white with contrasting navy hard top, navy soft top and navy leather interior, this Pagoda presents in beautiful condition and has had much recent expenditure to keep it at its best.

The car sits  beautifully with its colour coded hubcaps and matching period tyres, and the quality of the paint is excellent with no mismatched panels and an excellent deep shine. All chrome work is fantastic and this car has zero rust.

The spec level on this car from new was excellent for a Pagoda. Complete with an upgraded sound system, Becker radio, automatic gearbox, kinder seat and beautifully preserved wood. This car was the gentleman’s express of the day. All carpets, seats and roof are excellent and are in remarkably good condition for a 56 year old car.

Mechanically this car is spot on, too. Having been maintained regardless of cost its entire life, the car has wanted for nothing. Most recently the car had a major service and drives superbly. The car performs effortlessly and the cabin is extremely quiet.
