The BMW M5 has long been the flagship sport saloon, and the E39 iteration produced during the BMW golden era of the 1990s and 2000s was peak BMW.
This 2001 example in Le Mans Blue is in remarkable original condition throughout, given its 134k miles, and had a full bare-metal respray in 2019 to a very high standard. Adding to the already beautiful shape of the E39, the bulbous arches, deep-dish wheels and quad exhausts give the car immense presence.
The interior feels special, too, with its two-tone black/grey fully electric and heated leather seats. A fresh OEM gear knob was recently fitted along with a Dynavin N7 head unit with Bluetooth, wired Apple Car Play, Google Maps, Spotify etc,
And then there’s the engine. The legendary 4.9 V8 manual, regarded as one of BMW’s finest ever, starts with a burst of glorious V8 noise that comes from the upgraded Hayward and Scott backboxes.
Further upgrades include Bilstein B8 dampers with H&R springs, a new OEM expansion tank plus the front suspension was recently overhauled including new Lemforder arms.
Crucially, this car has a full service history with a fully stamped book plus receipts and past MOTs
This M5 is not the usual tired and abused example and must be the finest on offer in Ireland right now.
