There’s something iconic about this era of BMW. The shark nose with its narrow kidney grill, the driver-focused dashboard, the rich hum of the in-line 6-cylinder engine.
The largest BMW of this era is the 7-Series, and this 1985 e23 model has got to be one of the finest 728i SE examples on the market.
Finished in Reseda Green with green velour interior, this striking 7-Series has had just two owners from new – the most recent of which was the Chairman of the e23 Owner’s Club, no less.
The overall condition is superb with zero rust and the car features factory upgrades such as all-electric windows, over-mats, wood trim, boot spoiler, automatic gearbox, radio (yes, this was an extra!) and boasts a full history covering its 95k miles, original book pack and previous invoices for work done.
The car drives beautifully, too. The gearbox is seamless, the engine is super smooth, and it will cruise happily at 100mph if you want it to. Not that we tried this…
