BMW 2002 tii

The BMW 2002 is a perfect blend of everything we love about classic BMWs. It’s a stylish sporty 2-door coupe with a shark-nose front and just the right amount of chrome.

This late production 1974 tii example, originally from Italy, is a 3 owner, 38k klm car that is resplendent in its original colour of Arctic Blue with its original linen interior with leatherette bolsters. 

The car appears to be largely standard, save for a set of tasteful period style Alpina alloy wheels, and an extremely rare 2002 tii sport’s steering wheel. Once you dig a little deeper, however, you start to appreciate just how original the car is, down to its original dealer stickers and markings that are present even underneath the car. 

From new, this hii was ordered with nearly every option. Factory air conditioning, rear demist and spotlights to name but a few. 

The most impressive and significant feature of this car however is its fuel injected engine. It is a mechanical system made by Kugelfischer, a firm with long experience in supplying injectors for BMW factory sedan racers. The pump is timed so that each of the four nozzles squirts a shot of fuel directly into its combustion chamber when its intake valve is open. The more revs, the more fuel. It’s magical and the performance is awesome. 

This is a stunning and beautifully maintained 2002 Tii in largely original condition. You will genuinely find it difficult to find another like it. It’s one of, if not the nicest, classic BMWs we have ever driven.
