The 80s was hot-hatch heaven, and the Renault 5 GT Turbo was right up there with the very best.

Our '88 Phase II facelift example is pure savage with a killer colour combo and in impeccable condition having had a lot of money spent on it in recent years.

The power from the mighty little 1.4 Turbo is still impressive today and must have felt ballistic back in its day!

A better example would be hard found.

When you wanted a Volkswagen hot hatch and you thought the Golf Gti was just too “common” for you, then the car you needed was the Polo G40 Supercharged…

Sorry, Supercharged???

Yup… What can only be described as an absolute rocket, the 1.3 Supercharged Polo was the quickest hot hatch of the day, beating the Golf, 205gti and xr3i on top speed and 0-60.

Our car can only be described as perfect. Having been fully repainted in its original colour, the rear subframe has been bladed and painted also. The entire rear axle was rebuilt at the same time with new bushings, rear drums and shoes and the car received a new exhaust, new fuel tank, new rear lights, door seals, new mouldings, new suspension front and rear including front springs and top mounts, new brake callipers, discs and pads and new wheel bearings. The car also had a new clutch fitted along with timing belt and water pump and radiator.

With a mere 52k miles on the clock and an enormous service history, this is one of ten rarest hot hatches available and a true little drivers car that will keep everyone guessing at your next car show.

Back in the 80s you knew a car was special if it had boxy flared arches… Our 81k mile 1982 Audi UR Quattro Turbo was the king of box arch 😎 Straight from a time when the only thing cooler than your car was the mullet on your head, this car was truly ground breaking when it hit streets in early 82. The first of its kind to use forced induction from that glorious 5 cylinder engine pared to a switchable 4wd system that also became a rally legend.

Dreamt up and produced for homologation purposes our car is without a doubt (as we always say) the nicest of its kind that we have seen since I started selling cars. Having been completely rebuilt with tens of thousands spent to give this car what can only be described as show winning credentials.

From its full glass out repaint to its fully rebuilt engine (which still has to be run in) this car is spectacular. Anyone who knows early Quattros know that the original interiors are horrendous so she was completely re trimmed, carpet, seats, head cloth all in Alcantara. The attention to detail is spectacular. The underside of the car has also been completely refreshed and is probably better than new.

Low mileage examples with full histories are getting ever harder to find and wouldn’t even come close to the condition of this car. An absolutely unbelievable piece of kit that we are proud to have sitting in our showroom. As always, big shout out to JC Autocare and Prestige car transport for the top class service.
