Jaguar E-Type Coupe

The iconic Jaguar E-Type has a long history, with three series of the car produced over a period of 15 years and its timeless design and styling still make jaws drop today.

This handsome 1965 FHC example with just 31,700 miles began life in the US before being imported to the UK over decade ago by an enthusiast who treated the car to a full bare metal photgraphic restoration. The car was then purchased by an Irish collector and imported to Ireland last year.

The black over tan colour combination is stunning and the car presents in wonderful condition, with only minor blemishes. The low slung bodywork sits perfectly hunkerd down over its gleaming wire wheels, and all the other chrome trim is of a good standard.

The tan interior, with its original flagship wooden steering wheel, also had a makeover and provides a sophisticated contrast to the black paintwork. A welcome addition is the Retrosound bluetooth radio which is in keeping with the overall aesthetic.

Under the bonnet is the car’s original 4.2 straight six XK engine which performs beautifully and sounds superb thanks to a full stainless steel exhaust. The 4-speed gearbox shifts smoothly, too, and the car is a true joy to drive.

Most recently the car was fitted with new rear dampers, new heater motor and new wiper motor driving the triple window wipers.
