We’re all well aware of the virtues of the mighty Land Rover Defender. Rugged practicality, go-anywhere capability, and a healthy dose of the cool-factor.
But has a Defender ever been called ‘classy’ or been praised for its build quality?
This 1984 Land Rover 90 is the vehicle Land Rover should have been building. Instead, it was commissioned exclusively for Deane Motors to celebrate the truest form of the Defender, while making it tasteful and built to last.
The flawless bodywork and paint are the result of countless hours of preparation, the original chassis has been galvanised with all of the running gear blasted and painted in 2-pack, and a reconditioned genuine 25k mile 200 TDI engine has been fitted. But that’s just for starters.
Every fixing, component and detail has been considered and carefully selected so that the finished product is something not just beautiful to look at, but of the highest possible quality, too – right down to the colour matched grey thread on the bespoke hand-sewn removable soft top.
The build quality follows through to how this Defender drives, too. The steering, handling and controls are razor-sharp and ready to tackle anything you can throw at it, whether you’re hacking up a muddy lane or just popping to the shop. It is a pure and intoxicating driving experience that will leave you beaming ear to ear every time you’re behind the wheel!
This is a special and unique build that elevates the Defender from a farmyard tool to a stylish and robust classic vehicle, and is one which we are very proud to be associated with.
A full, detailed spec is available on request and it will be sold with tax and fresh NCT.
